Cardiac Technician - Exercise Physiologist

Virginia Heart seeks a qualified Cardiac Technician – Exercise Physiologist to work in our outpatient cardiology setting. This position offers growth to Senior Cardiac Technician and stress‑test training for new hires who commit to a one‑ or two‑year term. Applies Holter and event monitors and instructs patients on their use. Performs stress testing under the direct supervision of a physician, including nuclear testing. Stress testing is a basic, required job function of the Cardiac Tech. Authorizes prescription refills under direct supervision of the physician. Enters data in the EMR. Other activities and responsibilities as directed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related major; paramedic, or previous experience with stress‑test training required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Comfortable with computers; prior experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred. Prior experience in a clinical position; cardiology field preferred. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and patient‑care skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
