Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced finance/accounting professional for a Subcontractor Prequalification Specialist position to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.Job Duties:Prequalification Process Management - Oversee the prequalification of prime consultants and subcontractors for construction projectsEnsure compliance with advertised work types and project-specific requirements.Bidder Evaluation and Selection - Conduct detailed reviews of subcontractor qualifications, including past performance, litigation history, and financial stability.Use tools like TradeTapp or similar platforms to streamline the prequalification process.Coordination and Communication - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and owners to align prequalification criteria with project goals.About Construction Management – AECOM HuntFounded in 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana, AECOM Hunt has been building for over 80 years. From iconic stadiums and arenas, next-gen transportation hubs and sustainable healthcare and academic buildings, AECOM Hunt’s expertise, leadership and dedication are unparalleled.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or similar curriculum and 4 years of relevant accounting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred Qualifications:Accounting experience from A/E/C strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in finance/accountingExperience in project accountingExperience with CMIC or COMPASS or other database systems.Ability to read and interpret construction related contracts. Excellent organization and analytical skillsHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentialityAdvanced Excel skills and experience with MS Office productsAccounting and or Finance background and experience in the construction industry preferred.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with subcontractors.Basic knowledge of CSI codes and associated scope risk.Ability to analyze and present data for the purpose of evaluation by providing basic insights of analytics, identifying red flags or areas needing additional informationAdditional InformationThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
