The role includes preparing the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. Maintaining a sterile environment is crucial for all service lines including general surgery, orthopedics, and gynecology. The Surgical Technologist will open cases and support surgeons by providing necessary instruments and supplies during operations. Experience in handling different case types such as hernia repairs, total joints, and cataract procedures is preferred. Collaboration with the surgical team and support staff is essential for optimal patient outcomes. The position requires skills in retraction, camera handling, and the second scrub role.
