Youth Soccer Coach/Instructor (Part-Time)

We are hiring part-time passionate, engaging coaches who are committed to impacting San Antonio youth through soccer.

Soccer Shots offers noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes ("sessions") on a weekly basis at parks, preschools, daycares, indoor facilities, and elementary schools around the greater San Antonio area. Schedules are created seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and determined based on one's availability and location.

Coaches must be able to commit to an entire season schedule with priority given to those who are available at least 3 half-days out of the week (or a minimum of 8 hours a week). Morning shift times generally run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Afternoon shift times generally run from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Midday shift times are also available depending on the site (11:30-2:30 p.m.). Session times may vary depending on enrollment.

1. We put every Soccer Shots coach through our comprehensive training program to receive certification that includes learning the use of developmentally appropriate coaching techniques.
2. Our coaches are routinely evaluated and undergo ongoing training.
3. Our coach selection process evaluates not only the ability to coach soccer, but, more importantly, the ability to engage and inspire children.

We use expert-approved curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards:

1. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum places an emphasis on character development and skill building.
2. Our program is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players and experienced and licensed soccer coaches.
3. We constantly re-evaluate and update our curriculum to stay current with childhood education standards.
