Job Details: Job Location: Christ Chapel Bible Church - FORT WORTH - Fort Worth, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Role’s Mission: Since corporate worship and equipping the saints are two reasons the church exists this position will lead and serve in both areas. This role will not only lead corporate worship as requested but will spearhead and support the development of student worship leaders and volunteer musicians to fulfill their God-given potential. For leadership development to remain a priority, this role will need an eye for talent, a passion for worship, a unique ability to build relationships, and a drive to build and nurture networks of volunteers. Although certainly leadership development is every staff member’s calling/responsibility, at some levels of the organization this position will serve as the key strategic Developer for the student Contemporary Worship Department. At other levels of the organization, this position will serve as a Supporter, aiding other worship leaders in training and from time to time overseeing the development process in particular areas of contemporary worship to be an “identifiably Christ Chapel” way of worship. And in the Supporter role, this person will help with the administrative functions of the entire contemporary student worship department. Finally, as a Project Manager, this person occasionally may also be asked by Christ Chapel’s Executive Director of Worship Arts to take on special short-term assignments to serve as the leader for church initiatives in aiding our people in worship. More specifically: This role is responsible for overseeing worship for all student ministries from 5th grade - 12th grade. They are responsible for overseeing recruitment, auditions, and training of students to equip them to be able to serve and be developed in worship leading for these services. They will help coach and train our campus student worship staff. They are responsible for maintaining and overseeing all Planning Centers pertaining to these services. They will manage and maintain budgets that pertain to these services. They are responsible to attend all student worship department meetings as well as production/service meetings. They will be responsible to serve as needed and observe services. In addition, they will support services across CCBC including: main services, all other forms of worship that are requested by other ministries, I.e., MSM/HSM, Women in the Word, Men’s ministry, Soul Care, Missions, etc. They are not required to be the front and center leader all the time, but they are expected to serve in support and music director roles. They report directly to the Fort Worth Worship Leader. Worship Development Leadership: Support Contemporary Student Worship in administration and processes involved with worship team development (paid musicians and volunteers) Support Sunday worship services Lead/support special event services as needed for student ministries Assist the Contemporary Worship Team in the recruiting, auditioning, and developing of musicians for Contemporary Worship teams Support Middle School Ministry/High School Ministry services and student development across all Christ Chapel campuses. Assist in shepherding leaders, musicians, and volunteer worship team members Other tasks and projects, as assigned by Assistant Director of Contemporary Worship. Worship Ministry Support: Attend the Contemporary Worship Department meetings. Attend Student Ministries Department meetings. Plan services, alongside the Student Ministries Department. Initiate and participate in the audition/selection processes for student musicians and vocalists Participate and contribute to church-wide worship initiatives Christ Chapel’s Mission: “To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ.” (Col 1:28-29) Role’s Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the Fort Worth Worship Leader. Role Details: Full-Time | Salaried | Exempt Qualifications: Role’s Desired Competency or Skills: This person must be spiritually mature, humble, trustworthy, flexible, willing to follow, able to lead, and creative. In addition, this person must possess ample musical abilities and leadership competencies to lead worship, build teams, teach skills, and shepherd people. Prior ministry experience and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree are desirable. Role’s Requirements: Of Character Must be a Christian. Of Calling Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff, and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private As a faithful steward being paid from tithes and offering of others must be committed to energetically, with creativity and innovation and faithfulness working scheduled hours each week as unto the Lord. (Col 3:23) Of Competence Spiritual Gift: (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet 4) If a believer only receives one gift (I Pet 4:10) then the ideal candidate will have the spiritual gift of administration, “using the gift with all the strength and energy that God supplies, bringing Glory to God through Jesus Christ.” (I Pet 4:11) Interpersonal attitudes or skills: Must be able to fulfill the job requirements with excellence Must be friendly Must be able to receive direction Must be flexible and adaptable Must have good interpersonal skills Must have a servant attitude Of Chemistry: Must be dependable Must be humble and approachable Must be able to get along with other ministries within the church Must be able to receive direction and correction.
