The Podiatrist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower extremities. - Monitor and manage chronic conditions affecting foot health, including diabetes-related complications and peripheral vascular disease
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated and holistic resident care
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Educate residents, families, and staff on foot care, preventive measures, proper footwear, and management of chronic conditions
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
- Ensure adherence to all infection control standards, as well as HIPAA and OSHA requirements
- Provide clinical oversight and guidance to podiatry assistants or support staff as applicable
- Assist with scheduling, documentation workflows, and coordination of podiatry services within the facility
- Documentation must be completed within 72 hours of encounter completion.
- Provide services to 80% of facility census.
