Details Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Required to work every other weekend Floating between like units required based on facility need No on-call requirements Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active CA RN license required At least 2 years of acute hospital case management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval Epic charting experience required Experience with admission criteria, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals regulatory guidelines Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and prior authorizations Experience with worker's compensation case management and appeals/denials preferred Located in Eureka, CA, close to multiple state and national parks for outdoor enthusiasts Facility offers housing assistance resources for travelers Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, at a lower bill rate Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) American Traveler Job ID P-750508.
