Quality Control ManagerAkima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a quality control manager to support Letterkenny's Depot mission of repairing and modernizing U.S. weapons, air and missile defense systems, and the supporting infrastructure require a comprehensive understanding of industrial mission-critical environments. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!ResponsibilitiesManages the Quality Assurance Department and associated functions. Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, continual improvement, and management of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program and Quality Management System (QMS) IAW ISO 9001. Responsible for developing, establishing, implementing, and continually improving a compliant Quality Management System (QMS) IAW ISO 9001 within all departments on the project. This includes evaluation and continually monitoring, auditing, and analyzing to validate effective implementation and operation of the QMS.Evaluates the overall performance of all departments based on ISO requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements, PWS (contractual) requirements, and QMS requirements. May develop procedures, work instructions, and other documents to enhance functions and to increase compliance of ISO.Develops and implements an internal audit program and evaluates audit findings and results. Coordinates with department managers and supervisors for completion of Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CARs and PARs) IAW applicable procedures. Monitors and assists with resolving corrective and preventive actions as necessary.Performs independent analysis, determines scope and course of action required, and develops plans to resolve problems. Conducts analysis and review of problems to determine root cause. Also identifies areas for improvement and initiates Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) IAW applicable procedures.Conducts process and product measurements and analysis IAW ISO 9001.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).5–10 years of quality assurance/quality control experience in a manufacturing, depot, or industrial production environment.Strong understanding of ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies; certification (LSSGB/LSSBB) preferred.Proven experience with inspection processes, quality audits, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) development.Familiarity with DoD depot operations, technical data packages (TDPs), and military quality standards (e.g., MIL-STD series) highly desirable.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.Skilled in the use of quality measurement tools, gauges, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.Strong data analysis and reporting abilities, including trend identification and performance metrics.Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills with the ability to train teams and interface with Government representatives.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.Secret Clearance required.Job ID 2026-23566Work Type On-SiteCompany DescriptionWork Where it MattersAkima Facilities Operations (AFO), an Akima company, is not just another federal facilities contractor.
