General Field Laborer – TRAVELING POSITION

Interstate Sealant & Concrete (ISC)

This is a TRAVELING job. Must be willing to work on projects across the U.S.

Job Summary

We are seeking General Field Laborers to join our team. This position involves both skilled and unskilled labor to support various roadway and airport projects. Teamwork is essential, as laborers will assist supervisors and foremen to ensure project success.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Wage: $22.00 per hour ( higher for prevailing wage projects )
Prevailing Wage Jobs Available: Higher pay rates based on state/federal wage determinations
Per Diem Pay: Up to $280 per week for out-of-town work ($40 per day)
Hotel Accommodations: Single Room Assignments

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid driver’s license (must be maintained)
At least 21 years of age
Willing to travel out of state
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol test (random testing required)

Essential Functions

Perform physically demanding tasks: lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather, airborne particles, and loud noise
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): hard hats, gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots, etc.
Operate and maintain small machinery, sealing equipment, and power tools
Drive trucks with trailers, including turning and backing
Assist in inventory tracking, fleet reporting, and job site organization

Level 1: Entry-level tasks, pressure washing, flagging, and small machinery use
Level 2: Operating hot tar kettles, bevel saws, and assisting with sealant work
Level 3: Crack routing, joint sealing, and skid steer operations
Level 4: Traffic control setup, saw cutting, compression seal installation
