Commercial Roofing Foreman

*Job Overview*

Hobson Fabricating Corp is a family-owned commercial contractor that has been building Boise since 1960, specializing in HVAC, architectural sheet metal, and low-slope commercial roofing. We're looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead crews on active roofing projects, run the job site day-to-day, and deliver quality work safely and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows commercial low-slope roofing inside and out and is ready to run a crew, not just work on one.

*What You'll Do*

* Plan and lead daily roofing crew operations sequencing work, assigning tasks, and keeping the job moving on schedule

* Install and oversee installation of commercial low-slope roofing systems: TPO, single-ply membrane, and shingle

* Direct heat-welding of membrane seams and detail work penetrations, flashings, curbs, edge metal, and drains

* Read and work from plans, specs, and roof details; flag discrepancies or field conditions that need a call before they become a problem

* Own job site safety enforce fall protection, run toolbox talks, and correct hazards on the spot

* Coordinate material needs, deliveries, and equipment (scaffolding, ladders, lifts) with the office and Purchasing

* Communicate directly with GCs, property owners, and Hobson's PM on progress, schedule, and any field issues

* Track crew hours and job progress accurately for reporting back to the office

* Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen on the crew; hold the crew accountable to quality and safety standards

* Keep the job site clean, organized, and inspection-ready

*What We Need From You*

* 5+ years of commercial low-slope roofing experience, including lead or foreman-level experience running a crew

* Strong TPO or single-ply membrane background heat-welding, detail work, and troubleshooting in the field

* Ability to read commercial roofing plans, specs, and details

* Working knowledge of OSHA fall protection requirements and a track record of enforcing them

* Comfortable directing a crew, coordinating with GCs, and communicating clearly with the office

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

* Able to lift 50 lbs and work at height, outdoors, in all weather conditions

* Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

* At least 18 years old

Pay: $29.21 - $35.18 per hour
