Speech Language Pathologist - Full Time

Experienced Speech Language Pathologist

We're looking for an experienced SLP to take on a full-time role with one of our area clients in Roanoke, VA. You will work with patients in an outpatient setting to improve communication and swallowing, making a measurable difference in their daily lives.

Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Active Virginia state license required to start the position.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Outpatient experience preferred, including evaluation and treatment of adult and/or pediatric communication and swallowing disorders.
• Experience with standardized assessment tools and treatment planning in outpatient clinics.

Role Overview

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic, conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy for communication and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and achieve patient-centered goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding strategies for communication and safe swallowing.
