Weekly Working Hours: PRN; 12 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift; 7p – 7:30a; weekend work required

Specialized Unit Details: The Renaissance Skilled Nursing Facility is an interdisciplinary rehabilitation program tailored to help people become more independent. It serves as a bridge between acute care and return to home or alternative living, providing a more focused and consistent level of support and attention than what would be available in a traditional rehabilitation setting.

The Clinical Technician I (Clin Tech I) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direction of an RN, a Clin Tech I works as an associate with training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the healthcare team. Observes patients, provides skilled nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner. Duties and responsibilities are based on what serves the patients and the team at any given time and are determined in collaboration with the team leader.

• Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.  
• Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
• Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing
• Measures and records intake and output
• Inserts and removes Foley catheters

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required
