Job Title: Stepdown RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU and/or Stepdown experience Description: Position/Specialty is for a Stepdown RN. Shifts are 3x12 hours, nights from 7 PM to 7 AM, with holiday rotation. Patient ratios are 1:4. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. No on-call requirement. Travelers may float within scope to meet facility needs. Required and preferred experience includes 2 years with first-time travelers accepted if they have prior ICU or Stepdown experience. Certification in ACLS and BLS is required. NIHSS certification is preferred. Candidates must have ICU and/or Stepdown experience. Accommodation for block scheduling can be requested but is not guaranteed. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak months in August and September.
