IS Journeyman Operator

Role description: The IS Operator Journeyman operates and manages the Individual Section (IS) machine as well as other related forming equipment to produce high-quality glass containers. Compensation and Schedule: The starting pay rate for this role is $34.56 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rotating 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts Responsibilities: Operate the IS machine and related forming equipment Assist with job and mold changes on machines Observe and make adjustments to forming hot end equipment Weigh, measure, and visually check hot end coating application for defects Correct defects reported by other departments Verify required machine functions and timing of machines Lubricate and swab mold and delivery equipment Minimum skills / qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment Must be able to stand for 8 hours Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds Preferred skills / qualifications: Technical school degree or equivalent Journeyman Card or equivalent experience Experience working with IS Machines Stable work history with no gaps in employment Benefits Offered: Medical, prescription, dental and vision plans Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid holidays and vacation Short- and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Apprenticeship programs Professional and personal development opportunities through Employee Resource Groups Please note the compensation and benefits information above is accurate as of the date of this posting.
