JOB SUMMARY:
The Cashier is responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently while providing quality customer service and safeguarding company assets.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide quality customer service
• Memorize PLU codes and maintain updates on new produce
• Handle customer cash, credit and change transactions
• Identify merchandise that does not scan
• Bag groceries
• Assist shelving, stocking and dusting when needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED, basic math, reasoning skills.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The incumbent must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance.
