LPN Medication nurse needed every other weekendApollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art facility conveniently located at 9938 airline highway in the heart of the city at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Hwy.Job Responsibilities:Provides skilled nursing care to patients as directed by the registered nurse and physician's plan of care in accordance with hospital policy.Promotes and maintains patient health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures under the guidance of the registered nurseDispenses medication under the direction of the registered nurse and according to physician ordersDictates and writes progress notes for one to one & group sessions in accordance with policies and proceduresAdvises Director of Nursing/Administrator of any risk management activities in order to reduce or eliminate patient/staff/visitor injuries, illnesses, death, and/or financial loss.Skills Needed:Organizes and prioritizes work while being cost-effective and conserving resourcesShould be able to work with multi-disciplinary teamAble to tolerate high stress and high volume of workOrganized and self- disciplinedThorough documentationUtilizes listening skills that indicate understanding and promotes accurate interpretation of other's concerns, motivations, and feelingsWorks toward resolution of interpersonal conflicts as they ariseEducation/Experience/License required:License Practical Nurse.
