Shifts: Days switch weekly, M-F 10-hour shifts 4 days a week. 9-7 or 10-8.

Seven Healthcare are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist for a contract opportunity in Asheville, NC. This role involves working in a dynamic healthcare environment to ensure the accurate dispensing of medications and provide expert advice to patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

Accept and dispense prescription medications
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
Ensure the supply of medicines is within the law
Ensure medicines prescribed are suitable for patients
Maintain confidential records of patients and pharmacy files
Advise patients on medication usage, reactions, and questions
Provide consultation on medication storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure measurement
Educate patients on medical device handling
Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions
Supervise pharmacy staff
Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
Identify and communicate drug-related issues with healthcare providers
Collaborate with healthcare professionals

Requirements of the Pharmacist

Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
Licensed by the state pharmacy board
