Trade Finance Origination Analyst

the client is seeking a trade finance and working capital professional to help originate and grow opportunities across the United States market. the role focuses on sourcing new trade finance and working capital deals, building and maintaining a strong pipeline, and leveraging industry relationships and product expertise to support corporate client expansion. you will partner directly with corporate clients to analyze trade flows and working capital needs, and act as a trusted advisor by developing customized financing solutions such as letters of credit, guarantees, and supply chain finance for international trade activities. you will also collaborate with trade and working capital distribution teams to coordinate syndication and risk-sharing arrangements, while maintaining strong relationships with banking and financial institution partners. the position requires cross-functional coordination with internal teams including credit, legal, compliance, and operations to design and execute transactions in line with the client’s risk framework, managing processes from origination through closing. you will monitor market and regulatory trends, share insights to enhance offerings, manage ongoing relationship needs, and coordinate with global leadership to support cross-border opportunities; qualifications include at least five years in banking or financial services with at least one year in trade finance or working capital, a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, and strong communication, analytical, relationship management, and deal-structuring capabilities, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments and global teams. the role is based in the united states and is ideally located in new york city, with u.s. work authorization required.
