Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely treatment through clinical expertise and compassionate communication.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients based on acuity levels.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and manage central lines.
  
  
• 
  Interpret and respond to heart rhythm changes, arterial blood gases, and critical patient data.
  
  
• 
  Monitor critically ill and ventilated patients, including those with stroke or multi-organ issues.
  
  
• 
  Follow isolation precautions and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active state RN license (NY or compact) with application if no NY license.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1.5 years ER nursing experience, with 2 years of recent ER work.
  
  
• 
  Certified in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex clinical scenarios, including heart rhythms and ventilated patient care.
  
  
• 
  Ability to interpret ABGs and manage multiple organ issues.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
