GUIDANCE COUNSELOR Abraham Lincoln School is seeking a compassionate, student-centered Guidance Counselor to join our supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will provide individual and group counseling and deliver social-emotional support to students. Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address student needs
- Support positive behavior interventions (PBIS) and school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL initiatives
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Valid Maine School Counselor Certification
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, adolescent development, and counseling best practices
- Ability to teach SEL classes
