We offer primary care for all ages in-person, over the phone, and by text message. Community Health Navigators support our members with services beyond just clinical care. At some locations, we also take Medicaid! Healthcare is a family affair. Our goal is to keep mixed-Medicaid eligible families visiting the doctor together and to provide continuity of care as individuals fall in and out of eligibility.Job SummarySeeking a Medical Assistant, eager to assist with providing exceptional primary care. Shifts may include early evening and Saturday hours. Available shifts at your location vary.Location and Compensation4150 W Peoria Ave Phoenix, Arizona 85029Hourly rate: $22-23/hr, depending on experienceSchedule: M, W, Th 8am-8pm and rotating Saturdays 8am-2pmKey ResponsibilitiesScheduling appointments and arranging follow-upsHelping educate potential patients about our membership model and making sales of our subscription service; collecting paymentConducting new patient intake, including medical history and insurance informationUpdating patient medical files and handling billingMaking arrangements for inpatient hospitalization or off-site testingExplaining treatment procedures to patients and preparing them for examsCollecting specimens for laboratory tests and assisting the physician during exams and medical proceduresTeaching patients about medications, special diets, exercise plans and other medical lifestyle changesGiving vaccinations and drawing bloodWelcoming patients and answering or referring inquiriesPreparing exam room instruments, supplies, and equipmentQualificationsMinimum of 1 years of experience as a medical assistant strongly preferred; particularly in an internal medicine, family medicine, or pediatrics practiceOther Requirements: U.S. work authorizationWork EnvironmentGenerally indoor settingFrequent use of a computerVarying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business dictatesBenefitsThe following benefits are available to full-time employeesMedical benefits, Vision / Dental, 401k with company match, Parental leave, and PTO401k with company match is available to part-time employeesEqual Opportunity StatementVamos Health is an equal opportunity employer.
