This is a 249-bed acute care community hospital that has been proudly serving the residents of eastern Connecticut for more than 100 years. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services, including advanced diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, cardiovascular care, cancer services, orthopedic surgery, and critical care.

Job Details:

• Seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a strong, collaborative team of Critical Care Intensivists
• Provide holistic, high quality care to critically ill patients admitted to the critical care unit
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic diseases in critically ill patients
• Perform procedures and order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Communicate with patients and families regarding their conditions and care plans
• Collaborate with a variety of consultants and care team members
• Conduct routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to specialists and other health team members
• Inpatient, critical care intensivist setting
• Full-time schedule
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience as an advanced practice provider in a critical care setting required
• Neurocritical care experience highly preferred
