Equipment Test Technician


Location: New Berlin, WI
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Test Technician to join our manufacturing team in New Berlin, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and verifying equipment to ensure it meets customer specifications, quality standards, and performance requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret technical documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Test equipment in accordance with specifications, work instructions, and sales order requirements.
• Verify equipment form, fit, and function to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Interpret inspection plans, test procedures, schematics, blueprints, and controller programs.
• Complete test documentation, quality records, and other required paperwork accurately.
• Perform functional testing on a variety of standard and custom-built products.
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues as needed.
• Utilize measuring and gauging devices to validate product quality and performance.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and 5S standards.
• Complete assignments in accordance with production schedules and manufacturing standards.
• Contribute to team productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and computer systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Preferred

• 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, equipment testing, manufacturing, or electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience testing industrial equipment.
• Ability to successfully pass a skills assessment.
