Primary Job Skill Behavioral Health. Job Description The Division of Residential Resources oversees Ohio’s eight developmental centers. The Psychology Supervisor provides clinical oversight and support at the Gallipolis Developmental Center and may cover other centers across Ohio as needed. Workdays and hours may vary to meet the needs of residents, and supervisors are also expected to be available for after‑hours consultation via a facility‑provided cell phone. Responsibilities Supervise Psychology Assistant positions at the facility. Develop and implement psychology services, including testing, diagnosis, counseling, therapies, treatments, policy development, and data analysis. Chair the Human Rights Committee to ensure restrictive measures are necessary, humane, and appropriate for each individual. Assess individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts and implement safety measures. Maintain a milieu therapy that creates an environment that is supportive, therapeutic, and safe. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards for the health and safety of residents. Train staff on psychology‑related topics and provide educational presentations. Conduct competency evaluations. Provide support to the psychology team with review and completion of admission/annual Ohio ISP assessments, trauma‑informed prevention, and behavior supports. Assist with implementation of Trauma‑Informed Care strategies identified through the TIBT process. Attend training to maintain professional license. Benefits Medical Coverage – Ohio Med PPO plan. Qualifications License to practice psychology in Ohio pursuant to Section 4732.09 and 4732.21 of the revised code. 12 months of experience as a licensed psychologist. 1 course in employee training and development or 3 months of experience providing work direction, training, or supervision to psychology students, assistants, or psychologists. Supplemental Information Hourly wage will be paid at step 1 unless otherwise specified by a collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background check as outlined in Rule 5123‑2‑02. There will be a required urinalysis prior to appointment; a positive test will result in denial of employment.
