As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - Import Aggregation Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative problem-solving. Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains synchronized algorithms with systems. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met. Analyzes and visualizes large data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems. Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture. Contributes to software engineering communities and explores new technologies. Fosters a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Stays informed about industry technology trends and best practices for competitiveness and innovation. Demonstrates success in DevOps, infrastructure design, and transformation roles. Applies software skills in business analysis, development, maintenance, and improvement for better project outcomes. Leads testing automation tools implementation and manages system performance for optimal efficiency and security. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React, Angular) Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS) Experience in Kafka, Cassandra, Cloud Micro-service Development, Restful API development Hands on Experience in DevOps technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) About Us Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
