Job Title Director of Sales Location Arcade, NY Employment Type Direct hire Industry Outdoor living products Compensation $140-170k base + bonus Schedule Hybrid About the Opportunity The Director of Sales is responsible for driving the sales strategy and execution, ensuring the company's continued revenue growth, market share expansion, and relationship maintenance with key stakeholders. This role will oversee all sales force operations, including managing sales reps, ensuring accurate forecasting, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners. The Director of Sales will play a critical role in expanding the network and ensuring that the sales team is well‑trained on product knowledge. Essential Job Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Leadership Define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with growth goals. Lead and inspire the sales team, driving them to achieve and exceed sales targets. Regularly assess market trends and adjust sales strategies to maximize growth opportunities. Sales Force Management Oversee all sales managers, reps, and support teams, ensuring alignment with sales objectives. Implement effective sales processes and systems to improve efficiency and success rates. Maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners to foster long‑term business success. Forecasting & Analytics Lead efforts in accurate sales forecasting, including reporting and analysis to predict future sales and market demand. Use data to optimize decision‑making, setting realistic targets based on historical performance and future growth opportunities. Relationship Maintenance Build and sustain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners. Act as the primary point of contact for important stakeholders, ensuring the company’s reputation for outstanding service and reliability. Distribution Network Expansion Drive efforts to expand the company’s distribution network, identifying new opportunities for growth across regions and product lines. Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new partners and clients. Product Training & Development Ensure the sales force is continuously trained on the full range of products. Develop training programs and resources to enhance product knowledge, positioning the team to sell more effectively and confidently. Executive Collaboration Collaborate with other executive leaders to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and finance. Provide input on company‑wide initiatives and contribute to the strategic direction of the business. Key Performance Indicators Revenue Growth: Achieve year‑over‑year sales growth in line with company targets. Client Relationship Strength: Maintain and improve client satisfaction scores and retention rates. Sales Forecast Accuracy: Improve the accuracy of sales forecasting and ensure targets are realistic and data‑driven. Distribution Network Expansion: Successfully onboard new distribution partners and expand sales reach. Product Knowledge: Ensure the sales team is highly knowledgeable on all products through ongoing training and development programs. Team Performance: Develop a high‑performing, motivated sales team with low turnover and high engagement.
