The department typically serves a high number of patients per year. Patient ratios are normally 4:1, with up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Staffing includes both technicians and clerical support. Advanced equipment is utilized, including monitoring devices and pumps. Documentation is completed through an established electronic system. Nurses are required to adhere to a specific dress code, wearing navy scrubs. Teamwork and collaboration are emphasized throughout the department. Recognizing and respecting a diverse patient population is essential. This unit values a welcoming atmosphere and strong community service. Attendance policies will be outlined on the first day of employment.
