Assistant Controller
1) What is the Opportunity?
We are recruiting an Assistant Controller to join a conglomerate of agricultural manufacturing, distribution, and livestock production businesses. This position is a development position that reports directly to the Controller and will assume the Controller position upon retirement in the 2nd Qtr. of 2027.
2) How will you spend your time?
- Work with accounting staff in executing accounting cycle activities for multiple business entities
- Fixed asset management
- Cash, financial and risk management
- Reporting: Financial and management
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements.
- Support Human Resource and payroll management.
- Manage IT vendor relations in maintaining necessary IT systems
- Work with CPA firm in completion of annual audit and special project
3) We are interested in you if you have the following:
- Advanced Staff Accountant or Assistant Controller experience, preferably in a sizeable agriculturally based business
- CPA with meaningful exposure to conglomerates and agriculturally based businesses
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Have good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Developer of team members for success
