Construction Project Manager

A high-end custom millwork company is looking for a Project Manager to join its team and develop the expertise needed to manage custom millwork projects from concept through installation. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is organized, curious and interested in learning the intersection of design, craftsmanship, construction and project management . Working alongside experienced project managers, you'll gain exposure to every phase of a project — from initial client and design conversations through engineering, shop production, delivery and final installation. Our work is highly customized, and no two projects are exactly alike. Success requires attention to detail, strong communication and the ability to keep multiple moving pieces aligned while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship our clients expect. What You'll Do Work alongside senior project managers to learn how custom millwork projects are scoped, planned, budgeted and executed from start to finish Coordinate with clients, architects, interior designers, contractors, vendors and internal production teams to keep projects moving Track project schedules, production milestones, material requirements and delivery and installation timelines Review architectural plans, specifications and shop drawings for accuracy and alignment with project requirements Assist with project estimating, budgeting, change management and documentation Coordinate information between the field and shop to ensure the production team has what it needs to execute successfully Participate in client meetings, site visits, field measurements and installation coordination Assist in managing vendor and subcontractor relationships, including material and scheduling requirements Identify potential issues early and work with the team to resolve them before they affect quality, cost or schedule Communicate project progress, open items and changes clearly to clients and internal stakeholders Follow projects through installation and completion, helping ensure the finished product meets both design intent and quality expectations Develop a strong working knowledge of custom millwork materials, construction methods, production processes and installation requirements What We're Looking For We're less concerned with finding someone who already knows everything about custom millwork and more interested in finding someone with the aptitude and motivation to learn it. The right person will bring: A genuine interest in woodworking, construction, architecture, design or the built environment Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail The ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with clients, architects, designers and craftspeople An analytical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to ask questions and learn Ability to read basic construction or architectural drawings — or a strong interest in learning Comfort working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment where priorities can shift A collaborative approach and respect for the craftsmanship and expertise involved in producing high-quality custom work Experience in construction, manufacturing, cabinetry, woodworking or a related field is helpful, but not required .
