Assistant Professor Overview The New York School of Career and Applied Studies (NYSCAS) at Touro University seeks a dedicated faculty member to contribute to the Business and Accounting Department at its main campus in the vibrant 3 Times Square location. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in scholarly research and publication, and actively participating in university service. Semesters comprise 15 sessions with a maximum enrollment of 25 students per course. Proficiency in the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Responsibilities Instructional Delivery: Teach four courses per semester (Spring and Fall), accommodating diverse scheduling needs including day, evening, and Sunday classes. Deliver instruction in a hybrid modality, seamlessly integrating in-person classroom teaching with concurrent Zoom sessions. Develop and maintain engaging and effective course materials and assessments. Scholarly Activity: Conduct and disseminate business-relevant research through publications in reputable scholarly and professional journals and books. University Service: Actively participate in university committees and contribute to the broader academic community. Attend and contribute to faculty meetings and engage in the intellectual life of the university. Qualifications Education/Experience: Master's degree in a relevant field required. Doctorate preferred. Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., DBA) in a relevant discipline preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, particularly under pressure. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships with colleagues and students. Excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and maturity in diverse social and professional settings. Proven ability to teach effectively in a hybrid learning environment, integrating in-person and online modalities. Travel: Travel may be required to other Touro University campuses within the New York City area. Working Conditions: Instruction will primarily take place at the 3 Times Square campus and via Zoom.
