Tuscaloosa, AL: K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required. Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists (both Clinical Fellows and ASHA-certified clinicians) based in Tuscaloosa, AL: Soliant is seeking a K-12 contract SLP for this school year. We have some flexibility with start dates: ASAP start is ideal, but the co‑ordinator can also work with a candidate ready to start in January. Additional information about the District, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives. Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or munications Disorders Alabama Speech-Language Pathology License Applicants may also be required to obtain an SLP certificate from the Alabama Department of Education Responsibilities Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs. Present assessment findings in a meeting with staff and student caregivers. Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders. Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents and school staff. Re-evaluate students in accordance with IEP timelines; present decisions to dismiss or adjust IEP goals at periodic IEP meetings. Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns. Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload. Provide reports of a student's progress to parents. Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school. Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
