Travel Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to administer targeted radiation therapy to treat cancerous tumors, following prescribed treatment plans. Key responsibilities include accurately positioning patients, operating advanced radiation equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and monitoring patient responses. The role requires reviewing prescriptions, maintaining detailed records, performing equipment checks, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Position patients precisely to ensure effective treatment and minimize exposure Administer prescribed radiation doses using specialized equipment Perform regular equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues Review treatment plans, patient charts, and prescriptions for accuracy and compliance Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self Document treatment data, dosages, and patient reactions accurately Conduct treatment sessions independently under physician guidance Observe and reassure patients during procedures, reporting any unusual reactions Perform other duties within the scope of Radiation Therapy practice as needed Qualifications Include Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program One year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Desired skills: critical thinking, excellent communication, PC proficiency, physical ability to handle equipment, teamwork, and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
