Lead Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Location: Hockley, TX Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 Hourly

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) Lead Quality Control Inspector to ensure our manufacturing processes and products meet the highest industry standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support production by enforcing our Quality Management System (QMS), inspecting threading and welded assemblies, and leading a dedicated QC team. If you have a sharp eye for detail, strong math skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, this is the leadership role for you.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Team: Coordinate team assignments, manage scheduling, and monitor the daily performance and attendance of the QC staff.
• Inspect & Measure: Evaluate in-process and completed products (specifically threading, welded parts, and final assemblies) against drawings and sales orders.
• Document & Report: Complete quality documentation, manage product approvals/rejections, and follow established procedures when nonconformances arise.
• Drive Improvement: Assist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and tracking quality trends to reduce the overall Cost of Quality.
• Collaborate: Foster teamwork across departments and communicate effectively with the Quality Team, Production Team, and customers.

What You Bring

• Language Skills: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (strong verbal and written communication).
• Experience: 5+ years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing setting, plus at least 2 years of experience leading a team.
• Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with threading, welded parts, and a solid understanding of IMT&E calibration.
• Blueprint Proficiency: Strong ability to read, analyze, and communicate details from complex technical drawings.
• Math Skills: Excellent math abilities, including adding/subtracting fractions and decimals, and calculating +/- tolerances.
• Work Style: Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of multitasking with excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a variety of climate conditions.
• Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain or confined spaces.
• Sharp sensory responses (hearing and vision) to identify and react to dangerous situations.
• Exposure to manufacturing noise, dust, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Strict adherence to wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly throughout the shift.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
