Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Registered Nurse Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Schedule: On-call required (1 week on, 3 weeks off). Weekends and block schedule to be discussed during the interview.

Assignment Details: Orientation will be 72 hours.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required.
• Prior experience in Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology.
• First-time travel nurses accepted only if experienced Cath Lab RN.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Experience with procedural/conscious sedation, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Familiarity with percutaneous devices (IABP/Impella), pacemaker procedures, and procedural monitoring.
• EMR experience with Cerner required or preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor patients pre, intra, and post-procedure.
• Administer medications and perform conscious sedation as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care.

Compliance / Notes: COVID-19 vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions accepted. State license required at time of submission. Compliance documents due approximately 10 days before start. Pass/fail EKG exam required (up to 3 attempts). Pre-start modules required.
