What You'll Do:

• Provide patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for various patient populations including general, ortho, urology, ENT, GYN, PEDS, and cath lab patients.
• Administer medications and therapies following approved protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, anticipate and respond to patient needs, and assess recovery progress.
• Document patient care, procedures, and observations accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, recovery expectations, and medication management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective patient recovery.
• Maintain compliance with all clinical standards and organizational policies.

What You Need:

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU, critical care, or perioperative nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This assignment involves delivering expert perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced PACU environment, helping patients transition safely from anesthesia post-surgery. The unit handles a variety of cases, excluding neuro and cardio patients, ensuring a broad skill application.
