The line cook plays a vital role in a small casual dining kitchen, responsible for food preparation, cooking, and plating while maintaining high standards of sanitation and kitchen safety. Reporting directly to the head chef or kitchen manager, the line cook ensures quality control and efficient coordination with team members using standard and automated kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Plate dishes neatly and consistently for service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations and kitchen tools
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor food quality and consistency during preparation and service
