Job Opportunity: General Surgeon with Breast Surgery Fellowship

Our organization is excited to present a full-time position for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon who has completed Fellowship training in Breast Surgery. This role is based in the vibrant city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, within a rapidly expanding medical group.

This practice is closely integrated with our Southeast Michigan Oncology Program, which holds accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Additionally, it is recognized as an Integrated Network Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer. Our oncology program also spearheads the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium (MCRC-NCORP), a distinguished clinical trial initiative that includes medical centers meeting the highest standards for conducting cancer research. The consortium comprises thirteen hospitals in Michigan, along with several out-of-state facilities, collectively enrolling hundreds of patients in clinical trials annually. MCRC-NCORP features a dedicated team of over 100 specialists, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals committed to providing outstanding cancer care. This program is one of 46 research initiatives established by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Breast Care Program Services

Our breast care program delivers a comprehensive range of services, encompassing everything from screening and diagnostic testing to surgical interventions and post-operative care at our locations across Livingston, Oakland, and Washtenaw counties. Services include:

• Weekly Breast Tumor Conference and Multidisciplinary Clinic
• Nurse Navigation
• Evaluation and treatment for various benign breast conditions, such as breast pain, nipple discharge, and cysts
• Breast cancer risk assessment and counseling
• Access to advanced screening, detection, and diagnostic technologies through our radiology services
• Genetic testing and counseling
• A specialized clinic for high-risk benign breast diseases, offering dedicated long-term care and follow-up

Candidate Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who are Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and have successfully completed a Breast Surgery Fellowship program. This is a remarkable opportunity for a skilled Breast Surgeon to join a well-established and expanding group practice.
