Laboratory Technician I (Oligo), M-F 2:30PM – 11:00PM EST Location : Indianapolis, IN Job Overview : This entry‑level laboratory technician is responsible for creating synthesis runs, operating laboratory equipment, performing QC workflows, and packaging orders for external and internal customers. Responsibilities Receive and sort incoming orders using established workflows. Operate laboratory equipment including pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, mass spectrometer, and centrifuges. Follow SOPs accurately and precisely. Follow safety procedures, handle chemical reagents and glassware. Restock lab supplies and maintain cleanliness of the work area. Package orders and prepare shipment documentation. Assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, etc.) preferred. At least 6 months of laboratory experience preferred. Experience or desire to work in a fast‑paced laboratory environment. Strong attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills. Accurate record‑keeping and ability to work in a team environment. Previous experience using pipettes, liquid‑handling systems, UV spectrophotometer, and/or mass spectrometer preferred. Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.). Ability to lift 40lbs. Ability to read small fonts on sample tubes and documents. Ability to reach, lift, bend, and use a step stool or ladder. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating lab computers and equipment while wearing a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves. Will be working in an area with hazardous chemicals; may need to use hand tools to adjust instrument settings. Compensation Base: $16.50 – $20.50 per hour.
