Scrum Master – DEWALT Construction Technology As a Scrum Master for the DEWALT Construction Technology team, you will facilitate Agile practices and coach a global team of software engineers and digital developers. Your role includes delivering innovative workflow management solutions for building construction component prefabrication, ensuring high-quality, cyber‑secure digital technologies that enhance customer advocacy for DEWALT products. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Coach Agile Practices: Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder the team’s progress. Support Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner with backlog management, refinement, and prioritization. Foster Collaboration: Promote effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of learning and adaptation by helping the team reflect and improve their processes. Ensure Quality Delivery: Help the team deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable software solutions in a cloud environment within pre‑established release timelines. Champion Agile Mindset: Advocate for Agile values and principles across the team and organization. Qualifications 7+ years as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role in software development environments. Strong knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement. Experience tracking and reporting sprint progress, team velocity, and performance metrics. Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Jira; act as the administrator of the Scrum board and ensure tickets remain updated. Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills. Proven ability to resolve conflicts and remove obstacles, preventing over‑commitment and scope creep during sprint planning. Ability to guide teams to deliver high‑quality code and services through time‑boxed iterations/sprints. Experience working with distributed, cross‑functional teams. Ability to promote Agile values of transparency, inspection, and adaptation. Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and secure software development practices is a plus. Strong facilitation and conflict‑resolution abilities. Deep understanding of Scrum artifacts, ceremonies, and roles. Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar certification is highly desirable.
