Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Unit Details:

• Combination of medical and surgical patients; not cardiac-heavy. Common patient populations/diagnoses include confusion, behavioral health, CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries.
• IV fluid and antibiotic therapies, strong medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin gtts., wound and wound-vac care, and basic telemetry.
• Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule.
• Every other holiday.
• Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.

Floating Requirements:

• First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY - 11 miles). 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float. xhyhwjd Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
