Individuals who align with our five pillars: Compassion, Acceptance, Respect, Empowerment, Stewardship should join us.Summary Of ResponsibilitiesResponsible for personnel, management, and coordination of nursing service activities for CSU nursing area in accordance with established philosophy, objectives and policies of the CSU facility to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic client care. Also, assign and supervise the nursing duties of all CSU nurses, structure and evaluate the utilization of all CSU nursing staff time. Responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice; for recognizing and solving professional, administrative, and supervisory problems. Ensures that Physician Orders are followed correctly and keeps the Director of Emergency Services, psychiatrist, and Chief Medical Officer informed about the activities and problems of unit operations.Minimum QualificationsFlorida Licensed RN with 5 years nursing experience in a psychiatric setting and 3 years in a managerial supervisory or leadership role. Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesProvides direct supervision of nurses and behavioral health techs and supervisory observation on a daily basisResponsible for scheduling staffing of the CSU, both nurses and behavioral health techsFollows company procedures for hiring qualified staffAssumes responsibility to identify and oversee staff training needsConsults with the Director of Emergency Services, consulting pharmacist, and psychiatrist regarding the medical and clinical needs of CSU clientsRecommends, coordinates, and establishes all relevant policies and procedures along with the Director of Emergency ServicesDevelops and implements a tracking system for all quality management issues related to the Nursing and Behavioral Health Tech DepartmentsComputer LiteracyCompletes all training requirements in a timely mannerCompletes all other duties and special projects as assigned
