Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist Needed

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The unit cares for adult patients and requires NICU experience. Equipment used includes Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1. Documentation is performed in Meditech. Required uniform is all black scrubs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• RRT credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapist experience.
• NICU experience required. Experience with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and ventilators (Hamilton C1) required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NRP preferred; may be obtained after hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience using Meditech documentation system.
• Experience with Hamilton MR1 and V60 ventilators.
• Experience in a hospital setting with adult and neonatal patient populations.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Schedule includes 12-hour shifts and staffing includes every other weekend.
• Patient population includes adults; NICU experience is required.
