  • Oversee clinical coordination and consultation for stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients throughout their care journey.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify educational needs among staff and assist in creating educational programs and materials for staff and community outreach.
  • Ensure compliance with ongoing stroke education for healthcare providers and nursing personnel.
  • Implement evidence-based screening and treatment protocols as the standard practice within the facility.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to staff based on data analysis and observations.
  • Accurately collect and verify clinical data, updating it as necessary.
  • Present data to key stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner to encourage adherence to protocols and continuous improvement.
  • Co-chair the Stroke Committee and lead the Sepsis Workgroup.
  • Act as a resource for staff, physicians, patients, and their families.
  • Complete stroke registry and sepsis core measure abstraction, ensuring compliance with core measure standards.
  • Conduct various technical and specialized tasks related to the evaluation of patient care.
  • Utilize quality improvement tools, such as root cause analysis, to investigate issues and develop action plans.
  • Support all hospital departments in implementing and maintaining quality improvement processes related to stroke, sepsis, and STEMI.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national regulatory standards, including Missouri's Level 3 Stroke Designation, while maintaining readiness for surveys.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts across the division to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of AIDET principles in every patient interaction.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance to provide the highest level of patient care.
  • Adhere to hospital safety and quality standards in all aspects of job performance and patient care.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN is preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in Missouri.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience in general or critical care settings.
