Job Title: MEP CAD Designer

We're partnering with a leading provider of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning services, to find a talented MEP Designer to join their team in Lititz, PA.

In this role, you'll play a key part in designing and developing MEP systems for commercial building projects. If you have a strong understanding of MEP design principles, experience with BIM/CAD software, and a passion for delivering exceptional results, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Create 3D and 2D designs of MEP systems for new construction and renovation projects.

• Prepare cost-effective conceptual and construction designs that meet client expectations.

• Develop schematic design concepts for drafting and cost estimation.

• Provide team leadership and support BIM/CAD operator drafting execution.

• Prepare design and BIM coordination proposals and communicate effectively with clients.

• Negotiate with clients and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.

• Meet with project stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, and architects.

• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve individual and company-wide goals.

• Work with BIM/CAD staff, BIM Manager, and MEP estimators to share resources and coordinate efforts.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of MEP/Revit design experience on large commercial, industrial, or multi-unit projects.

• Experience attending site, design development, and BIM coordination meetings.

• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, design drawings, specifications, and proposals.

• Knowledge of building energy analysis, design load calculations, and building codes.

• Understanding of current industry trends and existing installations.

• Valid driver's license.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

• Knowledge of general construction practices and relevant MEP design codes (National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, International Plumbing Code, etc.).

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $70,000 - $95,000 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
