Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

This role involves working in a modern production facility to manufacture cross laminated timber products. You will operate hand tools, forklifts, and production equipment, and support various stages of the manufacturing process while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and production equipment to manufacture cross laminated timber products according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Use a forklift to move, load, and unload lumber and materials safely within the production facility.
• Work with wood and lumber throughout the production process, including handling, staging, and feeding materials into machinery.
• Monitor machines and equipment during operation and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area in the lumber mill and production floor.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain efficient workflow.
• Participate in training and skill development activities to improve performance and learn new production processes.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and assist with basic quality checks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in carpentry, production, or general labor in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts safely in a production or lumber setting.
• Comfort working with wood, lumber, and related materials on a daily basis.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Capability to use hand tools and basic production equipment effectively.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mill, lumber yard, or lumber mill is a strong plus.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
