Cardiac PCU RN - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac PCU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of telemetry experience, including surgical telemetry and open heart surgery management. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on the cardiac progressive care unit, including those recovering from major surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients with cardiac conditions in a telemetry setting.
• Provide pre and post-operative care for open-heart and vascular surgery patients.
• Administer medications and blood products as needed.
• Perform telephonic interpretation and dysrhythmia management.
• Ensure compliance with sternal precautions and post-operative protocols.
• Be flexible to float to similar units as necessary to meet unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical telemetry and cardiac nursing experience.
• Active compact RN license required at the time of application.
• Must possess current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Epic experience is a mandatory requirement.
• Experience in managing complications such as VAD and TAVR is a plus.
