Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is seeking Field Project Managers to join our growing team in support of field engineering and construction activities across multiple programs in California. Candidates are required to be located within 60 miles of these locations — any business travel expenses incurred will be reimbursed, including mileage.In this role, you will help lead daily field operations, coordinate closely with project teams and subcontractors, support client communications, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule and budget expectations. This is an on-site position that offers hands-on leadership experience in a highly visible, mission-critical setting.What You’ll Be DoingAs a Field Project Manager, you will serve as a key field leader supporting successful project execution from planning through delivery. Responsibilities include:Partner with the Project Manager to establish project schedules and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones and cost targetsSupport field engineering and construction activities across multiple fire rebuild programsDevelop project documents, processes, and procedures to support quality control and successful project deliveryCollaborate with the Project Manager to determine labor requirements and support workforce planning for project tasksAnticipate staffing needs, identify available personnel, participate in interviews, and make staffing assignments based on project schedule requirementsEstablish performance objectives and conduct performance evaluations for direct reportsDevelop and implement site-specific safety plans and ensure all personnel understand and follow safety expectationsActively promote Parsons’ safety culture and monitor the job site for safe work practicesEnsure all required legal notices are posted at the project siteEstablish site security procedures and monitor access for subcontractors, vendors, and visitorsLead weekly job meetings and prepare summaries of project progress, risks, and pending issues for the Project ManagerPrepare monthly client reports and respond to client questions, concerns, and expectations in a professional and timely mannerAssist with pricing and negotiating scope changes with clients and subcontractorsReview bid documents and support bidder solicitation activitiesDocument, track, and execute changes in project scopeIdentify potential project issues early and work collaboratively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and project leadership to implement corrective actionsKeep the client and Project Manager informed of daily field activities, progress, and emerging concernsMaintain accurate and complete project documentation, including daily logs, field reports, and progress recordsPerform other responsibilities associated with the role, as appropriateWhat Required Skills You’ll BringBachelor's Degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent work experience)- 10+ years related work experience and- 3+ years in a leadership role at a field siteExperience supporting field engineering and construction activities on complex infrastructure, utility, or rebuilding programsStrong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, staffing coordination, and field executionAbility to lead teams in a field environment while maintaining strong attention to safety, quality, and client serviceExperience working with subcontractors, clients, and multidisciplinary project teamsStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environmentCommitment to maintaining accurate records and clear project documentationWhat Desired Skills You’ll BringExperience supporting utility infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with utility client environmentsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability in the fieldExperience with change management, scope control, and issue resolution during active constructionWorking knowledge of quality control processes and field reporting requirementsSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
