RN - Cath Lab About Facility 885 licensed beds Level 1 Trauma Designation Teaching Hospital: Academic Medical Center Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Department Information 5 ORs Average census: 20-25 patients per day Minimum experience required: 1 year; 2 years preferred First-time travelers accepted, but not preferred Patient Types / Common Diagnoses Cardiac Caths, Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, Clips, Pediatric cases (as young as days old – PFO, etc.), and others Required Licenses and Certifications RN: BLS, ACLS Cardiac Cath Tech: BLS, ARRT-R or RCIS Skills Required RN: Sedation; responsible for circulating, monitoring, and medication administration. Proficiency in scrubbing cases is a plus but not required. Cardiac Cath Tech: Will scrub, circulate, and monitor but do not administer medications.
