You'll work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the healthcare team to help ensure every procedure runs smoothly.Why Join Our Team?Be an essential member of the Surgical Services/Operating Room teamWork alongside experienced medical and nursing professionalsMake a meaningful difference in the patient experienceOpportunity to build and grow your healthcare careerCollaborative and team-oriented work environmentCompetitive compensation and benefitsWhat You'll DoAs a Surgical Technologist, you will:Serve as an integral member of the surgical team during procedures.Assist with the planning and implementation of safe, high-quality patient care.Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and ancillary departments.Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operating room environment.Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and compassion when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.Follow established hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environment.QualificationsEducation – Required:Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program OREvidence of NYS Department of Health exemption based on one year of cumulative surgical technologist experience between January 1, 2011 and January 1, 2015 ORCurrent NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.Education – Preferred:Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.Certifications – Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) through the RQI system during clinical orientation.Surgical Technologist Certification for Surgical Technologist program graduates who do not qualify under the NYS Department of Health exemption.Current NYS LPN license, when applicable.CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification.ExperienceRequired:At least one year of healthcare experience ORCompletion of a Surgical Technologist training program with evidence of application for Surgical Technologist certification.Preferred:Previous scrub/surgical technologist experience.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:A strong commitment to patient safety and quality careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical teamStrong organizational skills and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProfessionalism and sound judgment when handling confidential patient informationA positive, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentMake a Difference in Surgical CareYour role matters.
