Power Electronics Engineer – High Power AC/DC (kW–MW), On-site Fremont
PhD required

Our client is big in the development of power solutions for data centers that support emerging AI technologies.

As a result, they need to quickly identify and attract top level talent to assist them as a Power Electronics Engineer.

This job will be based in Fremont CA (relocation is available) and should pay $175K to $225K as a base salary.

PhD is required.

advanced development and platform-level R&D for high-power AC/DC power conversion systems spanning single-phase and three-phase solutions from several kW up to MW-class .

Note: This role is focused on R&D / prototype / reference design work and does not own production ramp, manufacturing support, or sustaining engineering .

You will be involved in

Prototype & Advanced Development (no production ownership)
Customer Engagement & Technical Support (U.S. customers)
Global Collaboration

REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Power Conversion/Drives, or a related field is preferred; candidates with a Master degree and 3+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong fundamentals in power electronics with proven hands-on lab capability
Experience designing, testing, or debugging high-power converters (AC/DC and/or DC/DC and/or inverter/rectifier experience acceptable).
Comfortable with engaging customers in technical discussions and communicating clearly in a professional setting.
